Google Chrome OS arriving this fall and it won’t cost you a penny!

Google has said yesterday that it is planning to release its Chrome operating system, seen as Microsoft Windows’ upcoming greatest rival in fall 2010 completely free of charge. “We are working on bringing the device later this fall,” said Google vice president of product management Sundar Pichai at CompuTex Taipei, Asia’s biggest IT trade show.

Many of you will have seen or even been using Google’s Chrome browser, the Chrome OS will be very similar, concentrating strongly on simplicity, speed, and web apps. According to Google, more than 70 million users already use the Chrome browser which suggests its operating system will definitely receive a significant number of support. However, it is still uncertain whether manufacturers will in fact use Chrome OS as their default, pre-installed operating system in the future, a “norm” which has largely brought Microsoft Windows plenty of success over the years.

Shaking hands over the net may soon be possible!

Hong Kong scientists have developed a robotic hand that allows friends and family to hold hands with there loved ones over the Internet.

The cyber-hand plugs into a computer and communicates with an electronic wristband to allow people talking over the Internet to experience the sensation of touch.
The hand can grip and shake as well as give the signs for 'OK' and 'V' for victory.
It also picks up the strength of the hand movement and is capable of giving a weak or a firm handshake.
"At this moment the function is not perfect and it can't copy exactly, partly because the robot hand is different from the human hand in terms of the degree of freedom of movement it has," the Sun quoted Professor Liu Yunhui, who led researchers from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as saying.
"There are also a few errors such as delays in processing and mechanical problems. But in the future it will be possible to produce more sophisticated and more dextrous movements," Yunhui added.
The current model is expected to go on sale by Christmas for around 20 pounds each

Uno Motorbike Leans Into Action

For travel, many of us opt for a motorbike, whist very few of us have the time to learn to ride the more comical unicycle. Well, an 18 year-old scientist by the name of Ben J. Poss Gulak, has decided to merge both modes of transport, and develop what he has termed, 'Uno'. The bike caught the attention of many attendees to the 2008 National Motorcycle Show in Toronto, either because they thought it was cool or to determine what it actually was. The common wheel set-up, of one at the back and one at the front has been revolutionised into two wheels sitting side by side. The Uno also utilises rear footpegs and a considerably smaller chassis.
Amazingly, the Uno weighs only 120lbs and has no controls, except for a simple on/off switch. In order to move, you lean your body in the direction, so leaning back kicks the Uno into reverse. The Uno's speed id controlled by how far you lean forward or back and is completely controlled by an ECU (electronic control unit) which is attached to the motor. The Uno is currently a one-off, but looks and sounds very cool indeed!

First ever open source camera

You’ve heard about open source operating systems & softwares. But the new age is about to bring an open source camera. Yup Stanford photo scientists are about to come with this superb innovation. Which i think probably gonna redefine photography industry. The major functions of a digital camera is governed by the software its having. Just consider if a camera is flexible enough to support an open source software, it can open up an entirely new world for both photographers and programmers. Software mainly deal with focus, exposure, shutter speed, flash etc so a programmer can enhance these features by editing the code. From there, the sky’s the limit. Programmers will have the freedom to experiment with new ways of tuning the camera’s response to light and motion, adding their own algorithms to process the raw images in innovative ways. And this can also help in reducing camera prices as a major portion of the price is of software stuff.

Punctuation is powerful

An English professor wrote the words:

"A woman without her man is nothing"

on the chalkboard and asked his students to

punctuate it correctly.

All of the males in the class wrote:

"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

All the females in the class wrote:

"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Happy New Year to everyone.......Ya i am bit late but DER AAYE DURUST AAYE
It was a great new year eve......Infact the best of mine till date...I planned to make it a good one so the search of the place started...Here i should give whole credit to my friend who did all hard work to find a place for TWO STAGS....That time i released being stag is really a big time problem....some of you must be thinking WHY? Don't worry i will answer to this....On any of the big occassions these good discs, pubs and any other places ....dont allow stags...So it was a big time problem for us....As now we were limited with the options...
But our hardwork....ooppss, i should say his hardwork paid off....We finally got a place in THE CLARIDGES called SIVILLA and AURA.
That day i realised IF YOU WANT SOMETHING JUST GIVE YOUR 100% AND YOU WILL DEFINATLY GONNA REACH THE GOAL.....
So on this good line i stop the new year party.....As rest i want to keep with me.....
