First ever open source camera

You’ve heard about open source operating systems & softwares. But the new age is about to bring an open source camera. Yup Stanford photo scientists are about to come with this superb innovation. Which i think probably gonna redefine photography industry. The major functions of a digital camera is governed by the software its having. Just consider if a camera is flexible enough to support an open source software, it can open up an entirely new world for both photographers and programmers. Software mainly deal with focus, exposure, shutter speed, flash etc so a programmer can enhance these features by editing the code. From there, the sky’s the limit. Programmers will have the freedom to experiment with new ways of tuning the camera’s response to light and motion, adding their own algorithms to process the raw images in innovative ways. And this can also help in reducing camera prices as a major portion of the price is of software stuff.
